A Beauty Beheld
"Before the winds were born and there were signs of life,
your beauty was already stirring inside my soul"
et répète les demi-vérités
Of nights waning through distance
where hidden breezes lie in still
glances fall out a painted window
eyes wonder but they never will
Kiss the moonbeams of a thousand angels
float along in sudden flight
tender dreams wrapped in silken starlight
feeling free in a pristine light
Fly to me on wistful trade winds
let your hair fall to the way
close your mind to frightful vision
in my touch, with me, come stay
Embrace my suffrage in gilded gold
shine for the world to steal
write your heart upon my prison
I long, with you, to feel
Don't repeat what I can't hear
my tears have all dripped away
tame the truth with gentle guidance
and in your words I shall lay
your beauty was already stirring inside my soul"
