EYES CLOSED
If eyes are a mirror to the soul,
then, ponder upon today's dossier.
step on my words and sail yonder,
this poetry is alive.
So,
What really happens after closing eyes?
Two inter-dependent events occur.
First,
A disconnection.
then...a reconnecton.
However, the real deal is in between.
Closing the eyes...
Why the need?
Why, when we pray?
...and when we sleep, or kiss?
It's a mystery.
This poet opines,
Closing the eyes may symbolize a lot.
Nonetheless,
It should only represent faith.
Faith...
That a miracle is on the way,
...or faith that tomorrow shall be,
or that the person we kiss get's the message...
and understands.

This is a very sophisticated piece that has a tendency to uplift. I like the analogy between hope, faith and the symbolism of the closed eyes.
After all, to leave the eyes of the dead open in many cultures is considered morally and spiritually wrong.
If I was a pedantic bastard, I'd question the significance of faith when I close my eyes during a sneeze. Good job I ain't.

It's a kind poem about eyes. The poet says they are the mirror of the soul. Despite that we close them when we want to connect with the soul without distracting it with the outer world.
