Avid Dreamer
The fine lines on my faded, sandy skin,
Breathing in the diamond air,
I forgot where I was today,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
Death chases me like a cat,
Asking if I'll open my door to him,
"I can't let you in...please go away."
Walking seems like such a chore,
Like stepping into deep sand,
I remember why I stayed alive today,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
Death chases me like a cat,
Asking if I'll open my door to him,
"I can't let you in...please go away."
False lies about how I am alright,
But maybe you can save me tonight,
I forget why I need to stay alive,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
Breathing in the diamond air,
I forgot where I was today,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
Death chases me like a cat,
Asking if I'll open my door to him,
"I can't let you in...please go away."
Walking seems like such a chore,
Like stepping into deep sand,
I remember why I stayed alive today,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
Death chases me like a cat,
Asking if I'll open my door to him,
"I can't let you in...please go away."
False lies about how I am alright,
But maybe you can save me tonight,
I forget why I need to stay alive,
Can you knock on my door and send me home?
