Seeking peace within the mayhem all around
Seeking solace under stars whipping round and round
The world is a wild place and there’s no quiet place to be found
To hide out for a day to calm my mental space before I fall right down
Low
I want to turn the lights down low
I need the darkness just to find myself in this wild mad place
To quiet down my spinning mind and seething soul
And just sit a while with peaceful thoughts to quiet everything down
Low
Can we turn the lights off
And quiet down the music spinning round
Can I turn my thoughts down
Just bring it all down
Low
Now I’m in a softened mental space
And things are moving at a normal pace
It gives me time to think more deeply when things aren’t moving so fast
I feel more human and I can be at peace at last
Down low

Sometimes, we just need to withdrawn into our little worlds and reorganize ourselves after we were tumbled around by the chaos of the outside world. We only achieve that peace in isolation and in the darkness.

i loved reading this :-) and you are right, sometimes there is just too much going on , and you need to be alone , with your own thoughts, a calm place so you can find your place of peace .. our minds can feel chaotic sometimes and often there is too much going on , and it becomes overwhelming
