Why does happiness
always go away
one minute you're with me
the next, you're astray
I am tired and exhaused
of doing everything to see you
when you make no effort
to see me too
I fear we grow apart
though I love when we are together
but life hates when I am happy
so it takes you whenever

Your special someone is probably feeling like crap because of what happened. Don't worry so much. He'll warm up to you and eventually do everything like a second nature.
