Snakes and a friend in the Grass
Snakes and a friend in the Grass
pet a little snake
as innocent as one can be
feed it milk and cake
give it love, ndurture it
but when you least suspect
it will bite.
its too small & yet too young
it probably hasn't grown a fang
Its bitten you once and disappeared into the woods
time flies by and all the bad menories eludes
you miss it pretty old days so good
those beautiful merry days of feeding it food...
yet on one fine sunny day
in the garden motionless it lay
An old friend you say,
you run to it so happy and gay
you notice its wounded
and needs to be attended
innocent as thy art
you heal it with thy soft heart.
Your good friend healed back
your hearty like a laughingjack
but you notice
your friends eyes seem black
worried you go to check
only to know the Snake
is back ready to attack.
as one unknowingly is crass
it jolts out of the from Grass
its fangs now as sharp as glass
lodges mighty a bite on the arse
Yet again one can think
as poison stirkes in a blink
the snake brings one to its brink
lest had a chance to rethink,
a sorrowful demise a final wink.
