Just Words
I feel the warmth of your touch
it lifts me up to the stars above
I’m always craving more
can’t get enough
it’s your loving nature I adore
though words are never enough
I wish to tell you every feeling
every time you walk out that door
you’re the only one I wait for
I wake up to sounds of the day
when you’re not near me
my heart holds it’s beat
just like when it all began
still stunned by the way you sway
you turn a dark moment into light
you give a fighter his will to thrive
no matter how bad things get
you always have the right words to say
your beauty calms my soul
would be a damn fool to ever let you go
we might argue, and we might yell
but when I see those tears in your eyes
a part of me breaks inside
though I said it before
I can’t ever get enough
you are my one true love
I’m at peace when I watch you sleep
vindicates my every whim
when I’m with you I hear birds
chirping away to our favorite songs
not sure how long our love will last
I’m just greatful to the heavens
they gave me you
someone who fights as hard as I do
though these words are just that
