Frozen
The crackles and creaks
flickers and freaks
frozen moments calling out
icebergs on a wire
taking hold of me
breathe I think
but
I'm afraid to exhale
afraid to give
where no one longer lives
light kisses off the window
leaving long lines of repent
smeared glimmers gone and went
writing passages in the past
the winds howl about
dawn to dusk
clouding out the margins
so left
within the absence
~ here, I'm stuck
flickers and freaks
frozen moments calling out
icebergs on a wire
taking hold of me
breathe I think
but
I'm afraid to exhale
afraid to give
where no one longer lives
light kisses off the window
leaving long lines of repent
smeared glimmers gone and went
writing passages in the past
the winds howl about
dawn to dusk
clouding out the margins
so left
within the absence
~ here, I'm stuck
