The Demon

Seducing you ever so sneakily
false promises of peace and harmony
Slowly, unbeknown to you
your in its grips
not much you wouldn't do
to satisfy and quench its thirst
so selfish, always puts itself first
Relentless and demanding it toys with your mind  
you give in saying "it'll be the last time"
It will wait patiently till your weak and vulnerable
building its momentum to take over control
the harder you fight, the louder it screams
taking you to your bitter extremes
The battle continues day in and out
with this demon you unwittingly bought about
