The Frailness Of Us
When do you realise that your life has ran out of steam and that you cannot win a fight
Or does your will and such determination keep you on your feet
It is hard to tell sometimes as we each go from day to day thinking we are well
But then when things are not we hear the tolling of the division bell
Do we panic and take flight or do we fight it out like a warrior that rides into the night
Some are born to be optimistic and brave, making everyone laugh and not accounting for their own aliments and frailness
Some are not so brave and lock themselves away, hoping that the fears will go away, or at least for another day
Which ever path we choose, we are all the same underneath, all made of flesh and bone
With limbs and a brain and the ability to think, or do we?
You see, the ability to think and remember is a luxury and some people cannot afford to do so
They forget the ones they love and their life becomes so raw
Frustration sets in and they don't know who they are or where they belong
And this is detrimental for their health before too long
It's like all memories have been taken away and locked up in a box
And they cannot open them even if they try, but when they do, they only have pieces that they cannot piece together or the have forgot
For loved ones this is such a testing time and unbearably upsetting for they are prompting every single day
But nothing they can do or say will stop what the brain has taken away
Or does your will and such determination keep you on your feet
