Liar

Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
Things are never what they seem to be
Habitual liars that you cannot trust
For some hidden agendas seems to be a must

People's sincerity becomes to be flawed
As you realise they turn out to be a dishonest fraud
Deceitful and their lies spiral out of control
As to get one over on you is their ultimate goal

For some, jealousy eats away at them
As they fabricate the truth again and again
So now you are wondering where you stand
As they hold all the cards in just one hand

A difficult situation and it makes you grit your teeth
It puts you on your guard and in disbelief
Despondent are your thoughts as bridges are broken
You are defensive to the lies that have been spoken

For you know liars always get found out
So sit back quietly and do not shout
Thinking they are clever and hold all of the power
Their lies will eventually unravel hour by hour

Now you are wise to their tell tale lies
As they will display themselves because they show in peoples eyes
So give them a noose and watch them hang themselves
You are honest and true and have plenty of stealth
