When Time Passes Me By
As I grow
I want to be absorbed in nature's flow.
Closer to the earth and its natural rhythm,
Reaching inside myself with great precision.
I want to be torn apart in a ferocious division,
Separated from material bits of my own schism.
I want to let the brutality
and thirst
overwhelm me,
To be returned to nature's song,
A part of it all along.
Worms will dig tunnels through pieces of me,
As flies land on my closed eyes.
Let the body rot in tall grass, or forest,
When time passes me by.
