We'll Save This War Someday
Before this day is done
On a runway never run,
With our stereoscopic views
On which opinion that we’ll choose.
To live from day to day
Without a glance the other way.
How do you know?
How do you know you’re right,
Without a battle or a fight?
To see from ear to ear,
My eyes are not the best to hear with.
Have you saved a life today?
Could it end another way,
Without the bitterness betray?
Oh we’ll save this war someday.
Honesty prevails inside us,
Deepest, darkest, corners of the earth.
Without water, without light,
Couldn’t someone hear these words tonight?
To split the frayed from even more frayed,
Leave the messes for the maids.
Leave the fighting for the brave.
Up or down, what do you choose?
Any piece I move and I will lose.
Around we go, our lives, friction.
Dropped chaos, thought I’d mention.
Choices I’ve made I’ll never regret,
Memories are things that I’ll never forget.
But why choose that path again?
The one we all know well is sin.
I’ve had my share of dream-like states,
Curves the wall how thoughts amaze.
But was it worth it when you died inside to hide from those who try?
Or should I turn my back and say,
We’ll save this war someday.
On a runway never run,
With our stereoscopic views
On which opinion that we’ll choose.
To live from day to day
Without a glance the other way.
