Him, a Reflection.

H i m
, a Reflection

He rapidly drew my interest. From the
moment I see D, I know he
demands to be given a chance.
He's a troublemaker (although the trouble he's causing
is a fuss), and I sense this immediately.
Despite potential problems he may cause, I like him anyway.
I believe h im,
regardless of how problematic that
i s. His outspoken
nature not only did not cost him, but was arguably what secured it for him.
I saw the fire he was portraying.
Because of this, I believe
I was drawn to the idea of
u s.

*formatting is purposely a bit wonky to help preserve a bit of the nature of the initial blackout poem, although it's hard to convey. Additionally, the essay I made this piece out of was one I had written several years prior, therefore no book is cited.
