gothic roses

the fog echoed its mechanical voice
it was lonely
& sought a victim to confuse
it was me who got lost in the grey

then the razor spoke to me
it wanted to kiss flesh
i put it far from me
before it could jump into my hand

my gothic roses bled pain
in their time of melancholy hurt
they stole the breath from me
as i keen for what they represent

they are the death of all hope
blooms of regret
i press them so I will remember
so as not to forget

witness the bleak
as it bleeds from my pen
taste its flavor
it's mellow
spiced with my screams

the night drained me
drank off my soul
as i reached to the darkness
it came into me
& took control

finally i rested in the hands
of my tormentors
& burned there
for an eternity
