Caught In Time
The earth stood still just for a while
So I could see your heavenly smile
Caught in time I was twice bitten
For I could see in the stars it was written
To stop the world I had no choice
In order to hear your softly spoken voice
The other side of the planet is where the sun has gone to hide
Leaving me in darkness and coldness on this side
All I see now is a large crescent moon
For the earth will start turning again soon
Speckles of dust in the air is all that remains
And the oxygen flowing through my veins
Stars shine in the night and are randomly scattered
Like little shards of glass or a window that has shattered
The light cuts through just like a knife
I have thoughts of celestial bodies and the afterlife
The earth starts to rotate again and spins so fast
Catapulting me into another world so beautiful and vast
