Amulets and Goblets (re edit)
.
I'd tell you a tall story,
though
you'd have to lend me your ear;
a drink or three,
make them long & tall
in smokey glass;
And I,
like my tale to tell;
Whispering
twisting
back and forth..
till earthward bound
winding pathwards
till your door be found
preventing my voice escaping
breathless imprints
captured on ear drums beating.
Though,
maybe brief of tongue wagging;
this inclusion,
small incision;
a swirl of leaves to a sudden gust;
Till settled, rearranged,
calm;
Different be the outlook found.
In it's conclusion;
An assumption it isn't,
on little given in change,
as the mind lays
many footprints.
Hot to cold air,
breathing out on a lovers
darkened veil
My discoveries
unchanged the world
won't turn many keys
to answers found
Unlocked without mystery.
I carry many trinkets;
Amulets without power,
Goblets of wishful truth to
pour many a sorrowful taste.
[i]come..come;
I insist;
Have a seat, and your ear
I'll tell unforgotten tales into.
