The author encourages honest critique.
The one critique I've got here, is that the title is an obvious likeness to RHCP's "Otherside" lyrics. Nothing inherently wrong with it itself, but readers who are avid music listeners will certainly form an unintentional connection ;)
This is less "weird" than much of your other stuff, which is nice, although I love the flow of weirdness.
It's like when a band typically has a really unusual style, and consistently surprises, but releases an album full of experimental pieces, and somehow track #11 is a sweet ballad that takes you back... And at first you might not appreciate it because the normalcy, it's jarring. Then, you re-listen, and you melt into the song and it's brilliant simplicity. And you evaluate what quality music is; it's not constant variability and new ground all of the time. And you think of vanilla bean...And how vanilla gets a bad rap for being usual. And how there is a lot of synthetic vanilla around, but how truly refreshing authentic and sweet things are with REAL vanilla, and how that light flavor is exceptionally valuable in itself...and the ability to execute something with real vanilla notes well. Maybe it's more precious than strange flavors...
