I Do

Like a box of chocolate, no one knows;

Just exactly how life will go.

Will it reward you if you behave?

Or simply lead you to an early grave.

Were all your sacrifices worth the gain?

When the end results only in pain.

You promise to talk to her another day;

But it's far too late, for she died today.

Her suffering and loved ones are left behind;

While you're still desperately trying to find.

Your destined path in a bleak world;

The hope that once guided you has died with that girl.

Stop pitying yourself, and move on;

All the pain's worth will make you strong.

Do not live with past regrets;

Lest you become cursed to forever forget.

The qualities that make you "you";

The same ones that made her say "I do".
