Indifference

 


life makes inconsistent burnt offerings
choices incessantly seem biased,
decisions always appear lopsided...  
amidst burlesque faces.  

acoustic accountability
not so obviously penned,
my language becomes my sin  
then the silence that’s golden
gets thrown in...  
narcotic winds,  
in a numinous flicker  
of pleasure indifference.  

he characterize the heritage  
of my abiding resistance,  
then soft sighs of comfort  
caught me,  
embedded passages
within segments of affection  
castrated...
left stagnated,

until he evokes them...
seducing me to reflect on them,
but when I journey through
crossroads titled friendship  
and all it contributes to is
revitalized wooing,  
his identity converts into the chasm  
that lust,
respect,
admiration,
and love...

...ruptures within me.
