Reality VS fake everything

I am drawing a blank
literally

the things that happen in the world today block out my creative juices so I cannot write
what such a shame
I cannot think of a single topic
nor a purpose to said topic that I cannot think of
the last time I wrote a good poem was on one of my roller-coaster days  
lately I am just down without an up
or a sway to one side or the other


the world is making us all dumb with the aid of social media and corrupt politicians waving their grubby fingers on the television screen
the last thing I want is to not be able to write
it is my platform
it is how I cope with the way everything is turning out

what has happened to the world?
all this greed and hate
all the entitlement people feel they deserve because of the car they drive or the neighborhood they live in has a country club with white table cloths and napkins shaped into shapes of animals they don't even care about and never will

what has happened to the human race since the 60s when it was all about love and music?
can we go back to that?

I try to not pay attention to what the media says about current events
I don't believe them anyway

how can we get the world back to the way it was before it was ruined?
