Halloween Night
It's almost the night that she could not wait for
She could be free from what shook her to the core
A decoration that would be hidden from sight
Unnoticed bt the spirits who came to give a fright
Within a tree, she soon found her platform
It was the day she chose for her soul to transform
She waited until the children were safe in their beds
They are too young to be frightened by what is dead
With a small plea, she begged that mercy might come
For this will be seen as an act of weakness, to some
They don't know the courage and planning it required
She tried to forget the words that the heart has acquired
She simply wanted to go back where she belonged
This world was one that had always been wrong
With a breath, she let herself go passed the border
To those that looked, it hardly seemed out of order
