Longing For Lyon
Quality
of a quaint
flair
flows from fair
fontaines
running
as the Rhone
basking like humid
hidden summer - air through hair
to holiday inside my
veins
Prisms pave portraits
poured paints -
portray the very
very
deep
sounds of soul
bearing one down & down
& up into holes
where heartbeats grow
The legacy;
virtuoso undertow
In structures spanned
landed & soaring
pander primordial talents
washed richly
in bloodshed
of banal habit
~
I thirst
for some sort
of draught
runoff
from leaves of ivy
to communion
in windings of
inborn stirring vines
To deviate
naked
lacing up my craving
ankles
in naught
but lavender sprigs
To stage an abandon
sloughing sensibilities
laying them under the lilys
strayed & humming
with wanton worry
Burying myself
beneath
romote roadstead
sheets
So...
sighs the weave
of these avant-garde
genes
