The Ride

Beware...
If you get on this ride there's no guarantees
So climb aboard, the first one there's no fees
It'll give you a thrill like never before
you line back up. . . you'll want some more
As you chase the rush and the high
all your worries you can put aside
But once I have got you in my grips,
    piece by piece your morals will slip
then I'll turn on you when you least expect it
your desire for me will be unconditionally
I'll drive you to near insanity
Consume your thoughts till I get my way
eventually you'll start to obey
I will take you down the path of despair
and you will not even be aware
as your world starts to slide
   you slowly realise you  cannot get off the ride
Round and round in circles you go
and the intensity starts to show
Friends and family become concerned
before they know it, them you have burned
your worlds start to collide
you want off the ride
You tell yourself one more stop
just after ya have your last shot
