Very sad contrast between the two stanzas. I try to stick with Christmas Present and Future for best results. I hope the joy in the first lines finally prevails, in any case. Love this dark Christmas greeting...

Thank you :) Crowfly. This happened a while ago. it was a sad Christmas...my mom was gone, my partner had left almost at the same time a few years before. But i am alright now, I have moved on. I just wrote that for a competition here. Thanks for reading me as always.
