Marked
Smoke hangs in the air,
Smell of alcohol wafts past the nose
Low lighting, Boisterous laughter
Music pouring from the speakers
Set the body afire
Slinking through the room
Head to the dance floor
Lose myself to the hypnotic beat
Lyrics of suggested sensuality
Eyes closed, head back, feet moving
For once the press of humanity
Not a crush on my tormented mind
All seeking the same
A release from the existential
Reek of uncaring life
Eyes open and are held
By the eyes of the one
Across the dark, loud floor
Darkness emanating from his body
His aura a mass of blacks and purples
I seem to move without conscious thought
Drawn to him as a moth to a flame
Take the hand proffered
Follow him to the door in the back
A swiftly fading voice in my mind
A warning, a caution, an objection
It goes obliviously unheeded,
The pull of his sensuality
Far more than I can resist
Out the door into the dark alley
He leads me as if by magic
I float in a cloud of bewildered
Barely contained desire
The speck of black in my soul
Responding to the call of his own
Back to the wall, him to the front
Overwhelming presence steals my breath
His hand caresses my hair
With a gentle casualness
Belied by the violence
Lurking behind his beautiful eyes
He cups my neck to tilt my head
Lowering his face to mine
His lips move over mine
With the barest whisper
I quake to the very center of my soul
Knowing I would give him anything
My very LIFE, to have such again
He takes my mouth with an
Unhurried tender patience
Consuming me with the flames
Of primal unrelenting hunger
Weakness steals my wits
His lips moving down the
White column of my neck
Brief flash of pain
Unparalleled ecstasy roars
Knees buckle under me
Hitting the ground in
An ungraceful senseless heap
Dizzily, my eyes open, raising
No one there, Alley empty
Heart pounding, knees like water
Gripping the wall like a lifeline
Slowly making my way back
Into the shady interior of the club
I stumble to a vacant table
A passing waitress looks at me, blanching
Her mouth open in a round of horror
Her hand raises to point
At the spot on my neck now burning
I rush to the dingy restroom
Look into the cracked mirror on the wall
To see the blood coursing down
The side of my neck, my blouse
A perfect imprint of teeth deeply impressed
In relief against my pallid skin
I sag against the sink
A slow smile steals across my face
Smell of alcohol wafts past the nose
Low lighting, Boisterous laughter
Music pouring from the speakers
Set the body afire
Slinking through the room
