I wish I could forget,
Close my eyes and think freely.
What would it feel like to be rid of my past?
Would I loose it completely
Or be happy at last?
Would I long for painful memories
Or carry on without a care?
To forget would be heaven.
But to change? I would not dare.

Before I found zen Buddhism
I pined for what You've penned here.
Now I realize my horrific physical abuses growing up
enabled me to be the emapth Healer today.
However,
I still wonder, now and then, how might my life had turned out had I grew up in a loving family.
