The Mediocre Depression
Everything is black and white
No colors can be seen
Everything in dirty clothes
No one can be clean
Everything is poor and pained
No one can find relief
Everything is hard to see
No one can remember anything
Hopelessness widespread
Colorblindness persists
Dirtiness uglies
Suffering attacks
Memories forgot
Hope is colorless so it does not bring passion
Hope is uglied so it does not attract
Hope is starved so starvation does not stir
Hope is blinded so confusion does not scare
Waiting on the ground for the last breath
Nothing possible except pain or death
This is not The Great Depression
This is The Mediocre Depression I feel
That drags me down to my heels
That even medication can not fully heal
There is nothing great about it
If anything it is plainly
Mediocre.
