A heart with no soul
A heart with no soul by Jay Thomson
How did i end up
a heart with no soul?
drugs chewed me up
and swallowed me whole.
It tricked me to being
my closest 'best friend'
robbed all my worth
depressed in the end.
Holes in my arms
tears down my face,
lost all my friends
families disgraced.
The looks i would get
crawling the street,
pitied and judged
a total deatbeat.
A junky they say
how can that be?
the drugs had my back
or so it would seem.
Stripped to the bone
skeleton face,
look like a ghost
a fragile waste.
As i lurk the streets
who's getting it next?!
kill for my fix
with not one regret.
A word to the wise
don't ever touch drugs,
don't swallow its lies
so charming so smug.
It will drag you down
from heaven to hell,
hypnotic at best
tranced like a spell.
zombie you are
condemned at the gates,
you die with no soul
hell only awaits.
