Foolish Apprentice
From a young age I was schooled, to never become loves fool
A pimp’s apprentice, a ladies man menace
To never be a lame, so I became, a student of the game
Jus a few simple rules as follows…
I was schooled that your first time shouldn’t be nothing,
No strings attached, no hearts to match
jus sow your oats, its jus a itch to scratch
no need to latch, stay detached
jus give her the KO and set up a rematch
When she whispers in your ear that you the biggest and the best
I was schooled that that’s a lie and you shouldn’t care less
Falling in love is for sucker and who needs that stress
When you hit their phone and they don’t respond right away
That jus means the next man is there and she begging him to stay
Jus wait your turn you mixed up your day
Jus try again tomorrow and see if she wants to play
Say I love you and say it often, kill them with kindness put their love in a coffin
But never mean it when you say, its all for the pay day
get in get out, that’s the player way
But I’ve never been the type to pay attention is school
I lacked focus, and seemed to break the rules
My first time was for love and all the above
To have and to hold she took my whole soul
When she didn’t respond to my phone it would make me sad
Then make me mad, had me so enraged, lovesick deranged
Had me thinking I was the best and the biggest
The juiciest and the thickest
Had me believe it for so long, banging my chest King Kong
When all along I was wrong, such a gloomy love song
Said I loved her and I meant it, and so I became a dependent
Falling so hard and so fast was not what I intended
And now looking back from the pimp’s point of view
I really was a fool, that is much true
She did have another man, which I couldn’t understand
When I’d leave he’d stay, all night till the next day
I latched and attached, tho our hearts didn’t match
I see now that the pimp was trying to spare me
Cause falling in love is scary, been 16 years and nothing has repaired me
Broke all his rules and became a fool
When learning lessons in love best stay in school…
