Orange October
Goodbye, October, I watch you slip away,
Soft orange shadows at the end of the day.
Cold winds whispering through the trees,
the dusty smell of fallen leaves.
Goblins, ghosts, and spooks, too,
rushing around, yelling "Boo!"
As they collect candy from neighbors
with glee, that is the night of Halloween.
October ushers in November, stepping aside
as the weather grows colder outside.
Goodbye, October, see you around,
as your brightly colored leaves
slowly cover the ground.
Soft orange shadows at the end of the day.
Cold winds whispering through the trees,
the dusty smell of fallen leaves.
Goblins, ghosts, and spooks, too,
rushing around, yelling "Boo!"
As they collect candy from neighbors
with glee, that is the night of Halloween.
October ushers in November, stepping aside
as the weather grows colder outside.
Goodbye, October, see you around,
as your brightly colored leaves
slowly cover the ground.
