light
there once was a white side, not bright, just light reflected back, in the old days it was and still is the absence of light.
Black,
It was all soul and no doubt, a beauty of shimmering, sequinned, sequences, and it was fearless.
Night,
Smiles hidden, guarded and seeking shade, roots dug in from a raped shame.
Guilt,
Cowed potential but free of verse, using loneliness yet blind to self worth.
Mediocrity,
Allowing space in your refuge and being led away, distracted from greatness by forgetting the greats.
Ignorance.
Swallowing pride, making a mark not taking the sins in the black, night with guilt, to find mediocrity, you ignorant fool.
Truth.
