My Cigarette, My Love

My Cigarette My Love

My cigarette my love
Delicious tars, to curb my crave
Carcinogens so tasty, to fill my stream
Blood cells choking, I still inhale
My lungs fill, like a smoke veil
Why I smoke, I do not know
I picked up the habit years ago
No cigarette would be complete
Without coffee as a suite
Long slow drag, take it in
Cancer growing, deep within
My carnal cravings, I must repeat
Back to back, my life I cheat
I try to quit, to no avail
Time and again, I always fail
What's this hold, this cigarette has on me
Prisoner of addiction, without the key
