Hook, Line and Sinker

Such an impossible task you ask
of hearts that become attached
Falling hook, line and sinker
in oceans of such beauty
I know first hand it is sink or swim
but still somehow I'd rather drowned
than seek dry, higher ground
Believing my lifeline fell short
Instead of being cast away
To be the fool of Gilligan's Isle
Or worse, to be an island on my own
A mole-hill adrift in deep blue seas
Praying for a rogue-wave to smother all this pain
Or get lost, blown away in your swirling hurricane
