Thankfulgiving

I have never seen pearls so dazzling as those you have for eyes
Nor heard so sweet a voice sing a love song to completely hypnotize
With a lullaby to remind my senses of her breaths intoxicating fragrance
While the harmony I hear in this lovers lilt wraps me in soft poetic cadence
Softly beating with the metric tones only a bards heart can set to verse
Drifting scents of sweet desserts entice my lips to roundly purse
Cool whipped cream atop a slice of pie is never quite enough
Like a candy-cane on Christmas day dipped in marshmallow fluff
Of pumpkin spice, a warm delight in this especially thankful season
So tastefully spread out like a buffet beguiles my sense of reason
Soft and yummy carrot cake artfully painted with cream cheese icing
My tongue anxiously hesitates to begin deliciously slicing
But all of these delights must wait till the main course has been served
And an amorous prayer of giving thanks has been poetically observed
Down on my knees this poet savors a rainbow of intoxicating flavors
Sprinkling upon my empty plate with her sensual party favors
