She was poetry

I wanted to study her from A to Z,
Gather all the facts,
Add more to her,
Subtract her insecurities ,
Multiply her reasons to smile,
And divide her walls.
I understood her anatomy,
But I wanted to dissect her,
So when time came for the biology,
People from her past would be untold history.
See to the dumb ones,
She was AP/Honors.
With the mental challenge she presented me,
I became fond of her.
I spent many nights trying to understand her formula.
She wasn't the type for the spotlight,
We were both bad when it came to drama.
I had to sit back and look at her periodic table of elements,
I knew the gases were irrelevant,
Because even on her bad days,
She was persistent.
So I began to analyze her,
As if I was writing a book report.
Highlighting the smallest things,
Even when I closed my eyes,
She was in my dreams.
She was poetry.
