Last Words
Come to me, let me see you.
Allow me to draw my last breath
as your fingers smooth my thinning hair.
Despite my failing vision, I see
in your eyes
the memories from all of time
and so
I ask you not to weep.
All that I need right now
is a strong arm to hold me,
to guide me into the unknown
where I will spend eternity.
Allow me to draw my last breath
as your fingers smooth my thinning hair.
Despite my failing vision, I see
in your eyes
the memories from all of time
and so
I ask you not to weep.
All that I need right now
is a strong arm to hold me,
to guide me into the unknown
where I will spend eternity.
