Moving Again Because I Could Never Stagnate Much Longer Than This

I held up a hand
and the people stopped talking;
I was might,
I was tall,
I was silent,
I chewed and spat words
like gum and garden herbs,
juicy fruit and rosemary,
each day a new taste.
I became the vocal buzzer at hangouts
like in my wildest dreams;
my new friends take for granted
that if we're smoking, I'm going to freestyle
and that is perfect.
Every day work sweeps me up in its arms
and keeps me purposed;
my best friend's studio is where I'm loudly lurking
after a morning of sober homework, craft honing or coffee swirling.

I am not depressed,
I'm changing and a little paralyzed by how happy I'm becoming;
I am nowhere near done.
You will hear hours from me,
of music and verses
and rollerblades swerving.
As autumn falls further,
seasoning me and the earth,

know my new colors
mean I'm blossoming.
