one
after
another

water downer
whiskey chaser
he didn't want to awake
in his life again
he wanted things to be different
even if they were over
even if he was punished
for making things be over...
he wanted things to be different
so he swallowed his life
to effect
the one choice he could make

life is fragile and sometimes we hang on by a thread, holding on by our finger tips, many people have experienced this poem, beautifully crafted. I tried reading it with the noise of a metranome in the background, sounding like a heartbeat - added something scary to the words :-)
