I Hear Nature Singing
I hear Nature singing, the varied carols I hear,
Those of brooks, each one singing as it babbles along,
The wind singing as it howls through the valleys or canyons,
The rain singing as it softly patters to the ground or comes down in waves flooding the town,
The forest singing with the creatures within, the animals singing deep in the woods,
The volcanoes singing as they erupt into the sky, the rocks singing as they tumble to the ground,
The field song, the flowers blooming in the morning, or towards the noon sky, or at sundown,
The constant singing of the ocean, or the waterfall flowing, or of the river twisting and turning,
Each one singing what belongs to them and to no one else,
The sky that belongs to the sky - at night the voices of nature, quiet, frenzied,
Singing with open mouths their constant melodious songs.
