Sharp and Witty
You said I was a sharp dressed man
You said I was quick witted
You called me the sharpest pencil in the box
You called me an accomplished wit
You said I was as sharp as a razor
You said I was full of pith and wit
You called me sharpest
You called me a witty
You said, in thought, I was sharper than you
You said, my mind was so much wittier than yours
I begged you not to leave
I begged you to love me
On my knees, don’t do this
On my knees, I love you
I pleaded with you to stay
I pleaded for another chance
I was only talking to myself
I was talking to your deaf side
You were such an ignorant bastard
You were such an arrogant fuck
You didn’t make it to the door
You didn’t make it out of the window
I proved your ignorance
I proved you couldn’t be saved
I may have been witty
I may have been sharp
But my rage was sharper than my wit
My revulsion was sharper than my wit
Most of all, my knife was sharper than my wit
You didn’t know that until now
That’s because I am sharp and you are not
You didn’t know I would laugh while stabbing you
That’s because I am witty and you are not
