PTSD Haikus 7.0
(i) Dark
Darkness follows you
As your mind vomits trauma
You and my shadow
(ii) Why?
In your twisted mind
Your torturers never age
They never die: why?
(iii) Remember
The feelings, the sights
The smells, the pain and the fear
Real like yesterday
(iv) Don't
Please don't plead, don't beg
praying to your god: Pointless
Mind and body raped
(v) Them
Demons and monsters
Both real and present dangers
Strangely human
(vi) Try
Your head can't shake it
You try hard with all you might
they'll use the force
(vii) Again
Like they did before
They are doing over again
There’s no deterrent

I wonder sometimes how the trap gets twisted and set within our mind, that we can't break free from its relentless repetition. You've done a marvelous job describing PTSD here. We escape the situation but not the experience. So many hugs for you, my friend

even the situation we have escaped from is all too real in the moment - the flashes are pain and trauma on rewind :-) thank you for all these hugs - so many coming back to you :-)

David...Insight--indeed--within your words! The memories of the trauma remain on a continuous feed-back loop...tormenting, and torturing us...holding us as prisoners within in our own minds...serving out those life-time sentences!

It is deeply Ironic that the life sentence goes to the victim not to the monsters - maybe I am being punished for letting my monsters escape :-( lotsa big hugs on their way to you :-)

thank you sweet Brenda - the only monsters and demons I have ever met have all been humans - I sometime wish I believed in a biblical Hell for them to be tormented in :-) thank you for your never ending support :-) !000 hugs on their way to you :-)

David my friend, I read this and my face grimaced more and more with each line...your pain is felt, it could never be understood by me but you convey it enough for me to feel the hold it has on you....for this I am so very sorry. If hugs and love have the ability to help even the tiniest bit at times, know I am sending both your way over the transatlantic...

it's a strange admission but I have almost got use to them - they used to scare the shit out of me. - now they are just haunting :-( love and hugs definitely helps as does knowing that people care huge big hugs :-)
