September Rain
The air
thick and heavy
a wet blanket
then the pressure changed
so slightly at first
not many may have sensed it
it was as if the earth slowed
just a bit, the wind
rushed in
a cooling, refreshing breeze
suddenly right behind it
first flash of light
that lit up the entire room
clap of thunder
roared
bursting the night sky into a
water fall
thick and heavy
a wet blanket
then the pressure changed
so slightly at first
not many may have sensed it
it was as if the earth slowed
just a bit, the wind
rushed in
a cooling, refreshing breeze
suddenly right behind it
first flash of light
that lit up the entire room
clap of thunder
roared
bursting the night sky into a
water fall
