Teardrops On a Tiny Head
Just like that
My fragile self esteem
And my happiness
Like a glass Christmas ornament
Shattered in the floor
In the night
Now all I can do is rock a tiny baby
Rock her to sleep and cry
Hoping my energy won't upset her
But as teardrops fall on her tiny head
And I look into her sleeping face
I can't hold it back
I've always been an ugly crier
Red face, puffy eyes
Snotty nose
She's the only thing keeping me
From digging out a bottle of Crown
And crumpling into the bathroom floor
Again
My fragile self esteem
And my happiness
Like a glass Christmas ornament
Shattered in the floor
In the night
Now all I can do is rock a tiny baby
Rock her to sleep and cry
Hoping my energy won't upset her
But as teardrops fall on her tiny head
And I look into her sleeping face
I can't hold it back
I've always been an ugly crier
Red face, puffy eyes
Snotty nose
She's the only thing keeping me
From digging out a bottle of Crown
And crumpling into the bathroom floor
Again
