Embedded in Regret
The insufferable mind
Perpetuates the darkness
No contrasts
Lewd mirrors indulge impulse
As the mind, in silence, calls
A helpless echo into emptiness
Encircling a returning darkness
Indeed they consume;
Teeth of flaming blades
Gnawing repulsive disgust
The light appears and fades
The clouds gather & depart
gather once more
Raindrop patter on the heart
on emotional gore
Now numb--
The mind lay motionless
Not a picture nor letter
Not a thought of pleasure
Nor a hope for better
Not a chance to forget
The forlorn walls of secrets
Nor the streams of regret.

No...we will always remember with regret those incidents that we have passed...we wish it was handled better. Life is not a cassette ( do you remember those?) where you can rewind...we can only go forward and do as best as we can...talented write, anonshadow.
