Life Of A Poet
Waking up to the birds chirping
Blessed just to be be awake
But within hours
Tears form at the eyes
And roll down the cheeks
Emotions run high
Love is on her mind
The love of her family
The love of her friends
The love she is still yet to find
Her mind is like a roller coaster
Racing fast around each turn
Her heart blazes like a fire
That is inflamed by life
Her soul wonders about the earth
Aimlessly searching for what is not there
This is the life of a poet
So now you know
The story of my life.
