A heart like mine

A heart like mine
My heart was once strong It could never be wrong
Once it was broken I can’t hear it beating
It gets used all the time, that won’t stop me
I was once struck by love It hit me hard it hit me fast

I was once on cloud nine nothing seemed to bother me
I never seen it coming it took me by surprise
You used me then spat me out you could have just let me go  
you kept me hanging on and on, you knew what to do!

I thought we really had a chance you played the game and I lost
Now my heart is wearing the cost
I lost in love I did not take it with grace
I thought I had it mapped out but I never gave up

I have never given up on life or love you might wonder how
I made it through just but i did
I made it out the other side of it
I am very tired from it all I will not give up now not ever

I might have fallen down I got back up it took a while
but I did get back up
it was slow and hard
it took a lot out of me i am still fighting my self!
