Chaos

Chaos entwines with the energy around me
Follows me, brushes against my skin as it screams sweet silences in my ear
Whispering things only I can hear
Does that make me its sole special someone or its victim

I reject its temptations now, push peace into my brain
I grasp onto something solid and choose as chaos churns
I turn the chaos away and reject the part that yearns
I turn as it silently slithers away

Still silently it comes and whispers sweet sounds into my head
Temptations I used to tend to tangling with my thoughts
Throwing thousands of thoughtful love notes knowing the ones I caught
But I turn my face to the sun and ask the peaceful calm to rush in

Chaos appears upon my shoulder
Mashing memories into my mind
Of all the times i let it flow as I let my mind unwind
I smile at the memories and flick it fondly away

Grateful for those lessons, but ready to turn anew
I yearn now for the peaceful calming of the light
I no longer wander with the wolves through the night
I smile and turn my face to the morning sun
