Sorrowful Song of Hope
Climbing into you
A sorrowful vulture
A terror
I am bright
I am a light
Aren't I?
Tell me, tell me
Secrets long kept
The longsuffering
Keeping us apart
It's us who beg
It's us who borrow
A bit of love
And sorrow,
and sorrow,
and sorrow.
Clearest water
Of dreamy blues
Of passion clues
By whom we chose
A sure one to lose
The game
The blame game
By fist and bruise
I am encircling
Soul and corpse
I am the shade
I am a shadow
Aren't I?
Teardrop rains
Fall upon us
In quiet rooms
Alive in wakefullness
Breathing, seeing
However slow
However slight
A tomorrow,
a tomorrow,
a tomorrow.
A sorrowful vulture
A terror
I am bright
I am a light
Aren't I?
Tell me, tell me
Secrets long kept
The longsuffering
Keeping us apart
It's us who beg
It's us who borrow
A bit of love
And sorrow,
and sorrow,
and sorrow.
Clearest water
Of dreamy blues
Of passion clues
By whom we chose
A sure one to lose
The game
The blame game
By fist and bruise
I am encircling
Soul and corpse
I am the shade
I am a shadow
Aren't I?
Teardrop rains
Fall upon us
In quiet rooms
Alive in wakefullness
Breathing, seeing
However slow
However slight
A tomorrow,
a tomorrow,
a tomorrow.
