United we could stand. But divided we fall.

Who are you when you know your identity doesnt exist
At least not in the American sense
Your clothes, car, job, and house can not define you
But tell that to your government and theyll confine you
A criminal you will be and thats all anyone will see
An outcast, a loser, a poster child for insanity
But really so many have lost their humanity
Its been consumed by the thirst for more
And I still search for a cure
Give us your hungry and your tired
As long as they get a job and not get fired
Fit into the cogs of their machine
Help make the rich richer and pick your label
They have us exactly where they want us
Sheep being sheered daily
They strip us of our rights and tell us we are free
Free to do as they say or starve
Free to work our fingers to the bone while they sit on their asses
While they make more rules
What would we be without money?
Is that the cure I yearn for?
They say without them the meek would be pray for the wolves
But they are the wolves
And they are doing great at herding us into our cages
While we do as we are told
And separate ourselves into groups
Created by our individual "identities"
Divided we have fallen, but united we could stand
